YOUnity Art Exhibition

As part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the men of MOT Cancer Support Group invite you to their ‘YOUnity’ Art Exhibition.

Can-Survive UK commissioned HerArt to deliver a series of art workshops for the men of MOT.

With a range of artists, HerArt delivered 4 art taster workshops, taking the men through various art processes: painting, textiles, sculpture and screen printing.

As well as displaying their artwork, some of the men will share what their pieces mean to them and how the workshops have impacted positively on their mental well being.

Ali Orhan, Prostate Cancer Information Manager of Orchid (men’s cancer charity) will be introducing their short film ‘A Letter to my unrepresented self’ – telling the journey of a man diagnosed with prostate cancer. The aim of the film is to contribute to the ongoing prostate cancer awareness agenda targeting Black African and Black Caribbean communities here in the UK, and help change the current narrative that exist.
