Macmillan ‘Bring A Pound Day’ on May 24

Last year our ‘Bring A Pound Day’ for the charity raised an astonishing £7,000 for the Tameside Macmillan Unit in just one day in February last year, thanks to your amazing generosity. Local groups, organisations, schools and businesses all rallied round to participate in our ‘Bring A Pound Day’ as every single pound steadily added up to a remarkable amount.

Now we’re poised to do it all over again – this time on Thursday, May 24.

This year we’ll be helping to raise extra funds for the unit – plus cash for local community Macmillan grants – funds which specifically go to help those living with cancer in our communities.

We’ll be broadcasting the whole event ‘live’ once again throughout the whole day on Tameside Radio as we visit you all out and about across our whole community – and find out what you have been up to for this vital good cause.

So ‘save the day’ – and be a part of it.

We would like as many businesses, schools, groups and organisations to be involved, whether its selling cakes or coffees on the day for the cause, or taking a collecting tin to place on your reception / counter.

Whatever part you play we will focus all your good efforts on Tameside Radio 103.6FM, in the pages of the Tameside and Oldham Reporters and Glossop Chronicle – and right here.

If you are interested in getting involved contact Sherrilee Jones on 0161 379 0240 or email sherrilee.jones@insidetameside.co.uk and we look forward to seeing you on the day.
